Alaska's Total Traffic Network is the ONLY on-air traffic reporting system that uses a unique combination of information sources to provide you with the most accurate and up-to-the-minute information available!

We work very closely with the Anchorage Police Department and other public safety agencies, and have a network of live and still cameras providing views of major commuter routes throughout the Anchorage area. Listeners who call us on their cell phones at #TIP are also an integral part of the Total Traffic Network.
ACCIDENTS - ROAD CLOSURES - TRAFFIC JAMS - ROAD CONSTRUCTION - EMERGENCIES ... IF IT HAS TO DO WITH TRAFFIC, WE REPORT IT!

Meet The Total Traffic Team!

Brian Ross
Afternoons On-Air

A 10 year veteran of the Anchorage radio industry, Brian has been a mainstay of the TTN team since it's beginning in 2003. Brian can also be heard middays on Magic 98.9 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. You should check out his ' Personality Page' on the Magic website, because there is where you'll find All Things Brian.

Afternoon Producer: Clint Yonce

With our live camera views that include the downtown area,
we had a great view of this single vehicle rollover on 6th Ave.

Our live camera at Benson and the New Seward Highway
helps us monitor rush hour traffic through midtown.

Our live camera can see 180 degrees along north
and southbound Minnesota Drive through west Anchorage.

We can see the BIG picture on our cameras, too!

Just how DO we get the best, most accurate traffic information in Alaska and pass it on to you? Millions want to know! Well, maybe a few of you at least...

Here's Clint, one of our producers. He takes your calls at #TIP, monitors the police and fire department emergency scanner channels, watches traffic flow on all our live cameras, talks to police and fire department dispatchers, as well as the Troopers or utility companies as needed...and puts that all together into a concise form and delivers it to...

...the on-air person, who is also watching the cameras and monitoring the scanner. The on-air reporter produces 2 separate reports every ten minutes (one 30 seconds, one of varying length) that are then available to all 6 ClearChannel stations to include in their programming. We use a great NETWORK, of live cameras, emergency agencies, and YOU when you call us at #TIP!

Mayor Mark Begich stopped by to visit with us at the 2006 Business Expo.

Alaska's Total Traffic Network Email

At Alaska's Total Traffic, we often get calls to #TIP letting us know where APD or the AK State Troopers have "speed traps" set up. Generally, it is not our policy to inform listeners as to these exact locations for two main reasons: between the time we make our reports and when they air, the officer may have moved on. More importantly, we support Law Enforcement in their duty to enforce traffic laws. People who drive recklessly or in excess of speed limits should be stopped and prosecuted.

Please, drive carefully at all times. Lives depened on it!
