The building that housed the recently shuttered Sea Galley restaurant caught fire early Thursday morning.
Crews from the Anchorage Fire Department were on scene just before 7 a.m. An AFD supervisor briefly confirmed it was the Sea Galley building. He also added “there are a lot of old memories in that building. It used to be the old Petroleum Club, too.”
As of 9:30 a.m., AFD said the cause and whether anyone was inside during the fire are unknown at this time.
